All members, parents and participants will be required to sign a waiver before attending any of our programs. Skaters must enter the facility before spectators. Spectators are allowed to enter the facility after all skaters are on the ice and must wear a mask at all times.
New CanSkate participants must have previous skating experience. Participants must be able to stand, get up and move without assistance. There will be no hand-holding assistance provided during ANY programs due to COVID-19 restrictions.
A Parent Assist program is offered on Saturdays from 2:40-3:20pm for all children with no previous skating experience. The parent must join the young skater for the entire time on ice with skates and helmet. Parents will be required to purchase a Skate Canada membership fee to cover their insurance.
CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun,
participation and basic skill development.
A complete series of balance, control and agility skills taught in
six stages of learning that pertain to hockey, ringette, speed skating
and figure skating.
STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop
fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills,
free skate and artistic.
This program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private
lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner.
